This past weekend I took a lovely trip to the Isle of Wight. after a thirty minute ferry ride I landed in this magical little town. My first stop was Carisbrooke Castle, a beautiful location at the top of a hill where it is rumored King Charles was imprisoned. For such a dark history it sure was a most lovely castle. The walk around the crumbling walls had the most stunning views of the countryside and within the walls was a wonderful little courtyard. I walked among the friendly castle donkeys, through the tearoom and explored the dilapidated castle chapel. One of my favorite spots within the castle was The Princess Beatrice Garden; it was a beautiful little place with manicured hedges and beautiful rose bushes, with rose hips as bright and big as cherry tomatoes.
